Grant Tambling was at Darwin High School from 1956 to 1959. Grant Tambling became a senator for the Country Liberal Party in 1996 to 2001 for the Liberal Government in John Howard's cabinet. From 1990 to 1996 he was in the shadow (opposition) government for John Howard and John Hewson. From 1987 to 1990 he was the Chief Whip for the Federal National Party.
