Greg Melvin

Greg Melvin last year at Darwin High School was 1979. He then did an apprenticeship as a motor mechanic. In 1983, he and a team of others, built this vehicle and drove it over 2 miles on the bottom of Darwin harbour and a maximum depth of 32 metres and got a World Record for driving a motor vehicle underwater.  He left his job as a motor mechanic and retrained into the IT industry working for the NT Government and he now lives in Queensland. Greg is seen at the bottom of the article in the center.
